Billing Options

Choose the payment plan that works best for your budget.

There are several plans available to you so you can find a payment plan that best fits your budget:

  • Full Pay Plan - you pay the whole policy premium at the time of starting your new policy or when you renew.
  • Bi-Monthly Check Plan - you make a payment every other month by check.
  • Bi-Monthly Credit Card Plan – you make a payment every other month with a credit or debit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express
  • Quarterly Plans

    Check
    Auto Policy (6 month term): You pay half of the premium at the time of starting your new policy or renewal. The payment for the second half of your premium is due in three months.
    Home, Rental Dwelling, Motorcycle and Watercraft (12 month term): You make a payment every three months

    Credit Card
    Same as for check or cash, except your payment will be made automatically
  • Monthly EFT – a monthly installment payment will be drawn automatically from your designated checking or savings account

Setting up EFT payment is easy

New or current Automobile, Motorcycle, Homeowner, Rental Dwelling, and Watercraft policyholders

If you are a new policyholder, you can establish EFT immediately through your independent insurance agent.  Current policyholders can change to this plan by clicking on the link below and printing and completing the EFT/Credit Card Authorization form.

How to pay by credit card (applies to all policies)

If you are a new or current policyholder, you can make a credit card payment at any time by contacting our accounting department at (800) 733-3320, option 3. You can also set up a scheduled remittance using your credit card. Click the EFT/Credit Card Authorization link on this page and print and complete the form.  If you need additional information, your independent insurance agent will happily assist you.  Once the form is completed, email, fax or mail it to:

Choose your payment method
  • Mail your payment in the blue remittance envelope
  • Phone in your payment. Call the Wolverine Mutual accounting department at the following numbers; please have your credit or debit card number available.

  • Set up a recurring payment plan with your credit or debit card or EFT.
  • Drop off payment at your agent’s office, and they will forward it to us.
Change your billing plan at any time.

You can change your billing plan at any time. However, when you receive your bill you must pay it under the current plan. For example, if you are on a bi-monthly check plan and want to switch to Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT), you can make the change by completing the EFT/Credit Card Authorization or by contacting your agent. However, you will need to pay your current premium bill with a check. Your EFT payment plan will go into effect with the next billing.

Fee Structure
  • Full Pay Plan: no fees
  • EFT Installment Plan Fee: $1 for each installment
  • Installment Service Fee: $8 for all non-EFT installment plans
  • Late Fee: $20; this fee is not applied until your bill is past due two full days
  • Reinstatement Fee: $20 if your policy officially cancels and your reinstatement is accepted
  • Non-Sufficient Funds Fee: $35 applies to checks, EFT and recurring credit/debit plans
